A Vietnam native and a New Yorker of ten years, Sieu Nguyen believes the power of storytelling is universal. He is currently a Writer/Producer at HBO, with experience producing on-air promos, featurettes, and social-forward content. Great stories must evoke reflection, kindle empathy, and catalyze the zeitgeist. Sieu has helped tell the stories of Euphoria, The Flight Attendant, The Idol, and Selena + Chef, to name a few.

Before HBO, Sieu honed his craft at Paramount, MTV and Disney.

He graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media Studies, after writing a senior thesis about New York subway art, a lost history of many untold stories.

Outside the world of video storytelling, Sieu enjoys sharing culinary experiences, raving about A24 coming-of-age films, and writing thought-provoking narratives. His autobiography I Credit the Lonely was a best-seller in Vietnam.

He dreams in both English and Vietnamese, and is frequently inspired by his dreamland adventures.
